Alumni love helping students and fellow alumni. So what’s one question you have for someone who’s done what’s ahead of you?
Hi there – I am a current senior studying Marketing looking for job opportunities in the marketing and advertising field. I’m looking to leverage my previous on-campus and internship experiences to land a position after graduation in June.
I’m mainly looking at marketing/advertising coordinator positions in Los Angeles, but would be open to other locations and would love to find a position at a firm with a fast-paced work environment, a strong commitment to social values, and a global perspective. Any tips, guidance, or resources would greatly be appreciated!
Thank you in advance for your help — I’m eager to explore current opportunities, so greatly appreciate your time!
Hi! I am a senior at WWU studying Education. I am looking to teach after graduation in June.
I’m particularly interested in teaching middle school students at a school that supports diverse and creative ways of teaching. I am nervous about adjusting to life post-grad and unsure what to expect in my next chapter! I was wondering what three lessons you learned when entering the workplace after graduation? Maybe three things you did not anticipate or could not prepare for? I know you can only prepare for a transition to a certain extent, but learning about other experiences is extremely helpful!
Thank you so much for any insight you can provide!
Hello! I’m a 2021 WWU graduate. I graduated with a degree in Psychology and started my career in nonprofit work. I’m now considering going to graduate school for either a Master’s or a Ph.D in Counseling.
I’m particularly interested in Child and Family Counseling. I would love to hear from fellow alumni about their experience going to grad school and what to consider when researching programs. Should I try to find a program that’s part-time so I can continue working or is a more immersive full-time experience more beneficial?
Thanks in advance for sharing your experience as I consider this big decision!
